|I think it's possible that we can live in Peace in this World - beyond, and in spite of, all our different belief systems. Surely it is possible that we can see past the limited concepts that divide us, and arrive at a place that includes all of us?
I believe there is a Source of all things, by whatever name we call it, and whether we are scientific, religious, atheist or agnostic. If we all have the willingness, we can live in a World beyond borders and enjoy being in a human family while respecting all our races.
We can find a way to include all of us, and live in mutual respect. I believe the World is my Family, and most of all, I believe we all can be friends.
Envision, if you will, an Earth that is healed, with all of us living upon it in awareness, co-operation, and peace. An Earth where we actually listen to one another and communicate in peace. An Earth where Abundance comes from the Source of it all. And where we are so filled with the joy of life and in fulfilling who we really are, that there is no energy or desire to make others wrong- only the energy to create, flow, and just be.
"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited
in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as
something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his
consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to
our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our
task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of
compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its
Quote by Dave Chief, Oglala Lakota -|
The Circle has healing power. In the Circle we are all equal.
When in the Circle, no one is in front of you. No one is behind you.
No one is above you. No one is below you.
The Sacred Circle is designed to create unity.
The Hoop of Life is also a circle.
On this hoop there is a place for every species,
every race, every tree, and every plant.
It is this completeness of Life that must be respected
in order to bring about health on this planet.
To understand each other,
as the ripples when a stone is tossed into the waters,
the Circle starts small and grows...
until it fills the whole lake.

"Today, something is happening to the whole structure of human consciousness. A fresh kind of life is starting. Driven by the forces of love, the fragments of the world are seeking each other, so that the world may come into being."
- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
"An enemy is one whose story we have not heard."
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
- Mahatma Gandhi
"All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers... Each of us owes infinitely more to the human race than to the particular country in which we were born."
- Francois Fenelon, theologian and writer (1651-1715)
"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
-Goering, Hitler's #2 Man
"I have so much faith in people. I just think they can not all be stupid. This is a time when the entire planet can see we have to change. I think that really matters. I think it makes a difference. |
I was just in the Amazon, in the rain forest, and there we are in the deep mother forest sitting in a circle with people who live there and they are very aware. And I think this is happening all over the world. I think that's our hope.
Because I remember when I was growing up in Georgia that we were not that aware of many things. I mean, we were cut off in a sense by our class and by the system. And that was even more true of indigenous people, people they put on reservations and tucked away into other places. But now people are very conscious. We, as a human race, really want to live."
